UNIQUE INTERDISCIPLINARY FORUM

Beyond Protocols: Dialogues On the Life Cycle is designed to provide participants with a broader understanding of the brain-body-behavior synergy, moving beyond symptom-based thinking and intervention. Master Practitioners in the fields of neuropsychology, medicine, physiology, special education, and family systems theory will discuss the developmental changes that naturally occur in the interplay of the brain-body-relationship system over a lifetime and their impact on individual functioning.

2008-2009 Series

November 21 - The Child combines the development of the brain and the neuro-sensory-motor reflexes in relationship to the family system.

January 23 - The Adolescent offers the latest understanding of the neuro-medical changes in the adolescent and the role of the family in self-regulation.

March 27 - The Adult considers the simultaneous functioning of the brain and hormonal physiology of the adult through the natural life course of a family.

May 8 - The Older Adult considers changes in the brain and in the familial and social networks that reflect how the older adult adapts.
